An Air India Express plane that slid off the runway at Kozhikode air terminal in Kerala on Friday evening fell into a valley and split into two sections, the Directorate General of Common Flying (DGCA) said. The flight originating from Dubai and arrived at Calicut Global Air terminal, otherwise called Karipur Air terminal, in Kozhikode at around 7.40 pm. A pilot of the flight is said to have capitulated in the episode. The perished pilot has been distinguished as Deepak Vasant Sathe, a previous Wing Authority in the Indian Flying corps who resigned from the administration in 2003. "A Dubai-Kozhikode Air India Express flight tumbled down into the valley in the wake of arriving at Runway 10 of Karipur Air terminal and separated in two pieces. There were 191 individuals ready.
