Instagram has announced the launch of a new feature called Collab, distributed in India. Using Collab, people can now invite another account to be displayed as a participant in the feed posts or reels they make, and the content will be shared on both sets of fans. India is one of two countries where Instagram is currently testing this feature.
According to a Facebook-owned communications company, users can invite a partner to their posts and reels using the Collab feature. If they accept the invitation, the participant will be shown as the author, and the content will be shared with their profile grid, increasing the content audience.
How can you use Collab?
The feature has not yet been released to the world. If you are an Instagram user from India, check out the following steps for how to use Collab:
1. Upload feed posts or create Reel in the normal way.
3. Tap on Tag People to invite the editor by tapping the Invite Collaborator.
4. You can now search for an account and add them as a participant. Note that the account will need to accept your invitation. Only public accounts receive a feature as part of a test release that can be invited to Collab or posted collaboratively.
5. Once the account has accepted the partnership invitation, they will be added to the tag screen and marked in the title of your post.
